Smartfaucet

Here is a Smartfaucet from iHouse.  It features:

  • a small camera with face recognition system– so you can adjust the temperature and pressure to your individual preferences
  • a touchscreen display– so you can check your email (WHAT?), the weather, and your personal calendar
  • an internal heating coil to provide hot water faster
  • LEDs that change color based on the temperature

I haven’t been able to find out how much it costs, although, I’m confident that it is not within our budget.

Pop Up Garage

Where I live, many people convert their car garages into living areas or an extra bedroom because they don’t have as much space as they’d like.  Well, those people could use Pop Up Garages, which are actually being made in the UK.  The Cardok is lifted by means of an electro-hydraulic system, and they say it’s actually energy efficient.  They say, “It only requires about the same amount of energy to operate through one cycle as it takes to boil a kettle of water.”  Watch the video to see the garage “door” shuts.
