$21.82 Worth of Food . . . for FREE!

So, we went to Chick Fil A for the Dress Up as a Cow Promo and got $21.82 worth of free food (1 sandwich, 2- 12 ct nuggets, 3 drinks, 2 fries, and a fruit cup).  Jonathan actually went to different ones for breakfast and lunch, too, so I guess it was more like $35 worth of free food.

I felt so sorry for all the people there without cow outfits on who had to PAY for their food.

My Gorgeous Girls

We had a good time, and I’m saving the outfits for next year.  All I did was paint the shirts and headbands we already had on hand with fabric paint I already had, so I spent nothing on supplies or clothing.  Jonathan opted for wearing ears (I cut from scrap fabric) taped to a hat.  Check this post to see him sporting udders, too.

Can’t wait til their next promo!  Way to go Chick fil a; we love you!

Free Chicken Combo!

What’s the greatest chicken restaurant, Emily????  Um, that’s right . . . Chick fil a.  They’re the best because . . .

  1. their chicken is yummy!
  2. their shakes are even better
  3. they have awesome service because “it’s [their] pleasure”
  4. the founder is a cool Christian
  5. they do tons of promos where you can get free food!

Friday, July 9th is Cow Appreciation Day.  If you dress like a cow from head to toe, you’ll get a free combo meal.  If you just wanna sport a few items, you can get a free entree.  Go to the link to see some ideas of how to dress up.

So, Jonathan went to get breakfast with Gary (Melody’s husband).  I made the outfit, but my favorite touch was the udders, so he could milk it for all it was worth (pun intended!).  We’ll all be going for dinner tonight, so I’ll update the post later.

Some tips about requesting samples or buying anything online.  I’ve never had any problems; these are just me being extra careful.

  1. I always put Mrs in the “first name” column– not my first name.
  2. I type in a fake number if they ask for a phone number.
  3. I have set up an email account that I only use for requesting samples.  Be sure to do this, so you don’t fill up your personal email account with newsletters.
  4. I don’t give my correct birth date; I type the same year I was born, but I mix up the month and day.

Be patient for your samples, some of them take up to 8-12 weeks to come.  Check out the past weeks’ samples, as many of them are still good.
