Happy 16 Months
Posted in Photo Update, Video on 07/07/2009 04:17 pm by loriToday, Abigail turned 16 months! I will spare you with reading about how time has flown by . . .
This past month has been filled with not much fun. Abigail had a UTI, which made her fussy, hot, feverish, and in pain. Because of that, we took her to get a VCUG test (horrible!), which showed she has Grade III Kidney Reflux. And just last weekend, she started getting feverish (103 degrees), fussy, and dehydrated, so I took her in yesterday to see if she has another UTI (still waiting on the results). Zero fun seeing your daughter get catheterized 3 times in a month’s time.
But, she has still changed this month . . .
- She added at least 20 new words, which she says multiple times a day: light, hat, cheese, apple, water, juice, Josh (her uncle’s name), Tiffany, food, I know, okay, keys, trash, amen, show, eyes. She also knows more animal sounds; she says Quack Quack, Moo, Baaaah, and Bauck Bauck.
- She’s getting molars, two on the bottom. I haven’t noticed any on top.
- She learned to blow kisses well.
- Growth: She weighs 20 lbs finally– one more pound to go before she triples her birth weight. Almost 32 inches long.
- We never let Abigail watch tv, but I tried to find a video I could pop in for emergencies (getting ready when I’m running late, putting up groceries, etc). And she LOVES the Praise Baby Collection. We’ve rented “God of Wonders” and “Born to Worship” from the Library. I wish we owned them. You should check them out!
- She has a climber with a slide (which you’ll see in the video) that she loves climbing on. Thanks G Daddy and MeMe. A few days ago, I left Abigail in the kitchen to grab the mail. When I got back to the kitchen, she was STANDING on TOP of the kitchen table. What!?
- She went to a Tiger Show at Critter Fest. She also got to pet a goat, an elephant, a cow, a camel, and a greyhound.
Here’s the video of her 15th Month:
