Updates on Abigail

I am in awe of how much Abigail changes every day. In the past few weeks, she has started signing “all done” when she doesn’t want any more food or when she wants to get out of her playpen. Then, I’ll ask her, “Do you want down?” And she’ll always say, “Peeeas” (please). After she had been signing “all done” for a week, I started to teach her “more”. And she knows “more” now.
Lately, she’s become a climber. Every day, I find her on top of some tubs, playing with the blinds or other things on the book shelf.
The other day, I was doing chores around the house, when I noticed that she stopped making noises (she constantly jabbers), so I went in the living room to see what trouble she must be causing. This is what I found: she had climbed onto the couch and started taking the kleenexes out and shredding them.
She loves reading Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
Some other things she’s doing:
- She sometimes kisses us on the lips.
- She has 8 teeth now.
- She says “bye” and “hi” and waves regularly.
- She loves being outside.
As always, she’s a very very busy girl. NEVER stops moving. She goes from toy to toy to toy.
If she is still, you know it’s only cause she’s trying to squeze out a poop. She keeps me busy, but she is my greatest joy.

Thanks for the update. She is so precious. I thought the same thing about her eyelashes - wow!
I feel better knowing she has just started learning to sign. We started using signs for more and all done at 6 months and I wonder if Aaron will ever catch on. I guess he’ll get there.

she is definitely a keeper!! i think the thing that drew me in most about her was her sweet sweet spirit.

Valerie- There’s a Baby Einstein video that’s called “First Signs” that she has watched maybe 5 times since she was 9 months, but I didn’t start signing with her until less than a month ago.

Lori, I never realized how much Abigail and myself are alike! For instance, I give people sign language all the time too! Although it’s usually people who pull out in front of me when I’m driving. Also, whenever you hear me get real quiet at the house, that usually means I am getting in trouble or into something I’m not suppose to. Also, I never stop moving either. I’m always flipping through channel after channel on the TV. Only when I stop, is when Jennifer knows I’m going poopy. I keep Jennifer busy too, but I’m not so sure she would say I am her greatest joy. You’d have to ask her that…

I just saw your comment from forever ago! I need to put it to where it notifies me when someone comments! That last picture of Abigail is AMAZING, I mean print it off and frame it huge! I love it.
