How to Make Brigadeiros
Posted in Tipster Tuesday and tagged with Food, How to, Recipe on 12/16/2008 01:00 am by loriBrigadeiros are the most popular candy in Brasil. They are made mostly for birthday parties and Christmas. I also choose to have them every now and then for a nice pick me up. They are, by far, my favorite chocolates.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of Nestle Quick
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- I small package of chocolate Sprinkles
Directions
- In a medium saucepan over medium-medium low heat, combine Nestle Quick, butter, and condensed milk. Stir the whole time while cooking. Don’t stop. Cook until thickened, about 10-15 minutes. (It is ready when the mixture doesn’t stick to the bottom when the pan is tilted.)
- Remove from heat and pour the mixture in a lightly greased dish. Cool to room temperature or put in the fridge for a little bit.
- Grease your hands with margarine to roll the mixture into little balls (about 1.5 inches).
- Roll the balls into chocolate sprinkles (or as Jonathan would call them, Rat Poop).
- Put into mini cupcake paper.
It makes about 40 candies. I challenge you to find a better tasting, easy to make, homemade chocolate. Go make them, and then, come back here and let me know what you thought. I will accept $1 donations for making your life a little better with this Tipster Tuesday.
