Need an Online Wish List?

Are people always asking you, “What do you want for Christmas/Birthday/Anniversary/ Wedding /_________?” And it’s hard for you to think of something to tell them on the spot? Or do you have a mom (ahem!) who suggests you make an Amazon wish list?

Well, what happens when you want something that can’t be ordered off of Amazon? Or what if you see a book that’s cheaper on Half.com than it is on Amazon? Don’t you wanna save the gift giver some money? So, basically, you need a website that will combine gifts from other websites, right?

Meet the following free websites:

I’m *pretty* sure the sites will let you:

  • Add items to your lists from any website.
  • Easily share your lists with friends.
  • Add your lists to your own homepage.
  • Establish who can and who cannot see your lists.

Anyone used these? Like them? Dislike them?

Ever Heard of . . .

So on Friday, I was driving in the car, listening to a little Air 1 or maybe it was KLove. Anyway, I heard my friend from high school on the RADIO, singing “3 Minute Song”!! I was very excited.

A few months ago, Jonathan had told me he had heard said friend on the radio, but I still hadn’t . . . until Friday.

Anyway, Josh Wilson is a Christian singer/songwriter. He’s always been a very talented musician, and I’m so stinkin’ proud of him! In the following clip, he explains the inspiration for “3 Minute Song,” and then, he sings it.

You can hear the recorded version here.

I also recommend “Savior Please,” “Turn Around,” and “The Saints.”

Anyone else heard him on the radio?

Proverbs 3:5-6

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” –Proverbs 3:5-6

I think it would help us follow this verse better if I enumerate like the verse like so:

  1. Trust in the Lord
  2. with all your heart,
  3. and lean not on your own understanding.
  4. In all your ways,
  5. acknowledge Him,
  6. and He will make your paths straight.”

You can’t have #1 without #2 and #3, etc and expect #6 to work. We need to ask ourselves, “Am I doing #5 as well as #3?” Etc. Love this verse. I have to check myself daily.

Starting to Crawl

She’s 6 months and 20 days old. This was the first time we used the remote to coax her. She loves the remote. For the past 2 days, I had used some of her baby toys, but she’d just rock back and forth, but wouldn’t actually lunge for the item. I decided to try the remote today, and it worked. Since this morning– when the video was taken– she’s been crawling in better form. My baby girl is growing up.

Pictures of Abigail

So, everyone is always nagging asking me where they can find pictures of our sweet baby girl. Well, we’re glad you asked. You will find more pictures than you ever wanted to view of Abigail (I hope that’s not true though, cause she’s so stinkin’ cute!). So far, we have 27 albums on this blog. We take lots of pictures for the g-parents.

There are two places you can find our albums. If you look . . .

  • to the right, you’ll see a Category Title called “Photos.” Underneath, you’ll see links to the photo albums. Each album holds up to 60 pictures, so you’ll be able to see around 1620 pictures of our gorgeous girl.
  • under our header, you’ll see: “Post,” “About,” and “Photos.” Just click the “Photos” link, and it’ll take y’all (Yes, I say y’all; sometimes, I type it w/o the apostrophe. To me, y’all and yall will be interchangeable.) there.

We’ll probably be adding new albums each week. I’ll try to write a post whenever we add a new album.

Blog Plan

So, here we are starting our very first blog. I will probably be doing the bulk of the blog, ’cause let’s face it, I talk to a six-month-old all day while the husband talks to real people at his job.

Starting next week, if I can get time away from my kid remember, I will implement the following on a weekly basis:

  • Scripture Sunday
  • Movie & Music Monday
  • Tipster Tuesday
  • W “not sure what to title this, yet” Wednesday
  • Thrifty Thursday
  • Film Friday
  • Survey Saturday or Shout Out Saturday

I love guidelines. I live by rules and organization. So, why not have organization on my blog? And because I tend to stick to my plans, I need to also clarify to myself–and to readers– that I reserve the right to also add pictures of my daughter anytime I feel like it– just to pretty up the page. If you think I’m not gonna miss a day (because I thrive on guidelines), you’d be wrong. When I do not have time to post, please forgive me. I have a baby that will be crawling soon. How cute is she, by the way?
